A Lesbian’s Guide to Having a Baby

For this project, I wanted to create something that would be extremely helpful to the Queer community, allowing this information to get out there and be easily accessible, while also making it t easy to understand even if you are not familiar with the subject.

When researching this topic, I found it extremely hard to get answers to questions about the laws around being a second parent, adopting, and the different donor and insemination options that are out there. My wife and I are currently going through this process and I felt that many would benefit from this infographic poster. We both found that it was information that was hard to find on our own

—wanting to create and easier road for other lesbian and a queer couple in the future who are looking to start a family and need to understand the different steps and cost to the process itself. I created this infographic to be displaying online, possibly for a non-prof it such as Planned Parenthood, which would help educate others and help clarify some of the steps for having a baby through a sperm donor.
